Bob has been associated with the firm of Sanders Pianowski, LLP for more than thirty years. He received his B.S. and J.D. degrees from Indiana University, Bloomington, where he was also a Visiting Professor of Business Law. His practice is concentrated in Civil Litigation, Insurance Defense and Coverage Issues, and Labor and Employment law.

Bob has practiced in all local and federal courts, and has had extensive experience in major jury and bench trials in personal injury, commercial litigation and products liability. He has appeared in the Indiana Court of Appeals and Supreme Court, as well as the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. From the beginning of his career, he has practiced in all phases of employment law, including collective bargaining negotiations, practice before the National Labor Relations Board and Department of Labor, representation of employers, unions and employees in State and Federal courts in matters involving labor, discrimination, harassment, injunction and appeals, Unfair Labor Practice cases, elections and representation litigation. He has participated in arbitrations and mediations in areas of contract interpretation, jurisdiction, job assignments, overtime, discipline, discharge, plant rules and management rights.

Bob is a certified mediator in the State of Indiana and has successfully resolved numerous complicated litigation matters. He is a member of the American Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law Section); Indiana State Bar Association; Elkhart County Bar Alliance (Treasurer, 1999 - 2003); Elkhart City Bar Association (President, 1998) and the Defense Trial Counsel Institute. Bob has lectured and authored copyrighted materials for seminars and symposia on worker's compensation, labor and employment law, as well as civil and insurance law practice.

Bob and his wife Annette, a broadcast captioner, are active residents of Elkhart County.
